Hardcore space simulation ROGUE SYSTEM now available on Steam Early Access
Newtonian free-flight space exploration and combat simulator enters next stage of development
League City, TX – May 16, 2016: Today, Digits Crossed Interactive (DCI), a startup development studio working on their first software title, announced they have been approved and launched Rogue System under the Steam Early Access program. After three years of development behind the scenes, the title has reached a playable Alpha state, now including a single pilot-able space craft and proper orbital mechanics, allowing players to dock with orbital platforms, and complete a number of other placeholder scenarios in the form of tutorials.
Of this recent move to the Steam platform for ongoing development, DCI Founder Michael Juliano said, “Early Access provides us the best opportunity to reach the largest engaged audience possible. Having a passionate and invested community with a willingness to provide immediate feedback is key to our iterative design approach.”
The Steam Early Access program allows software developers to engage the community in the testing and support of their software, far before it would be possible with a traditional release. Rogue System is expected to take 9-12 months to reach a feature complete state for its Core Module.
