DCIRogue System
Dev Entry 2/24/14

Well, let’s get right to it, shall we? The Deliverer Class Carrier…

It can carry three squadrons of interceptors, two squadrons of strike fighters, and a plethora of service craft. With regards to weapons, its arsenal is primarily self-defensive. The big nozzle out of the nose is a braking thruster, not a weapon. The “wings” contain large back-up radiators–above and below. Length-wise, this is about twice the diameter of the Orbital Station. The strike fighter would easily fit through the uppermost hangar opening….

My original design for it was much thinner and after a day or so I decided I didn’t like it. I felt that it should feel much more massive and intimidating so I took some extra time and redesigned it this weekend (which is why it took me a few extra days to get done). While I’d like to have a few more days to further hash out the surface styling, I don’t have it. I HAVE to move on to the final destroyer concept tomorrow. That said, I’m very satisfied with this design for now.

My goal is to have the Destroyer concept finished up by Thursday evening, so be sure to check back for that…

Otherwise, as the majority of my time last week was spent hashing out the destroyer and doing some other design work, this week’s update will again be a short one. I do have one more NAV display page in the works, so I’ll be sharing that as soon as I finish it up later in the week.

For now, take it easy :)
