I realized it’s been a few days, so I thought I’d pop on real quick to catch you up. It’s been nothing but modeling since the last update. I spent a couple more days working on some more interior elements, some of which I hadn’t planned on doing yet (aft seating, service hatches and compartments, etc). After that was done I moved on to the strike fighter’s exterior and have gotten that all finished up.
So, now it’s on to texturing. My goal is to have the art finished and the ship in-game by the end of the month. If I could work on this thing full time it would have been done already, but as it is I’ll just have to make due with what time I have. I mean, I could rush through it, but then at some point I’d only have to come back and do it properly, which seems wasteful. In any case, once the art is done I can work on linking the new/updated ship systems to the physical controls.
Otherwise, there’s not much else to talk about really. I’ll post an image or two once I have the texturing further along so you can see the progress. Until then, take it easy :)
